Our technical team does their best to reassure that all recorded audio & video (which we call “recordings”) are working 24/7. Sometimes, however, we miss some recordings for different reasons. If there aren't recordings of a channel in your Vericast account, keep in mind that our team is working to solve the issue. You can always contact our Support Team to get a better idea of what is going on.
There are 3 main reasons for a channel to be offline:
1. Platform issue
There's a delay in the processing of the recordings - in some rare cases the upload of the recordings is delayed, therefore our platform suffers a consequent delay in its analysis. Identifications are then available in Vericast later than usual.
2. Channel recorded via an online emission
The emission could be offline. In this case, we should either wait for the emission to be recovered or we should look for an alternative website with a reliable emission.
3. Channel recorded via a physical unit
There are several checks that should be performed in order to determine the reason for the failure:
The internet cable is disconnected - the recordings are registered and stored in the HD of the unit, but they aren't transferred to our system. The identifications will be available in Vericast once the cable is re-connected.
The electricity cable is disconnected - there aren’t any recordings registered at our unit. We won't be able to recover any matches for the period of the failure.
The cables that connect the unit and the decoder are disconnected - there aren’t any recordings registered. We won't be able to recover any matches for the period of the failure.
The antenna for the AM / FM radio was moved and now it isn't pointing to the right signal - there aren’t any recordings registered. We won't be able to recover any matches for the period of the failure.
