We record audio and video 24/7. We have optimised our servers to process audio and video of 60 minutes so our systems automatically crop everything we record into 1 hour-long recordings. These recordings are sent to our data centre where they’re analysed within our database.
If you notice a missing recording in your account, rest assured our team is working on the issue. You can contact us and we’ll explain the situation to you in detail.
There are 3 main reasons for a channel to be offline:
1. Platform issue
If there's a delay in the processing of the recordings. In some rare cases, the upload of the recordings is delayed, therefore our platform analysis is delayed. Identifications are then available on Vericast later than usual.
2. Channel recorded via an online emission
The online emission is offline. In this case, we should either wait for the emission to be recovered or we should look for an alternative website with a reliable emission.
3. Channel recorded via a physical unit
There are several checks that should be performed in order to determine the reason for such failure:
The internet cable is disconnected - the recordings are registered and stored in the HD of the unit, but they aren't transferred to our system. The identifications will be available in Vericast once the cable is re-connected.
The electricity cable is disconnected - there aren’t any recordings registered at our unit. We won't be able to recover any matches for the period of the failure.
The cables that connect the unit and the decoder are disconnected - there aren’t any recordings registered. We won't be able to recover any matches for the period of the failure.
The antenna for the AM / FM radio was moved and and it is no longer pointing to the right signal - there aren’t any recordings registered. We won't be able to recover any matches for the period of the failure.
