Retroactivity is a characteristic of how unknown tracks (displayed in the FCF tab) are being updated in Vericast when we receive the corresponding audio file or when they are edited manually.

We say that they are updated retroactively, which means that the identifications registered prior to the time of receiving the audio file (or prior to the manual edition) will also be updated. The fact that this process works backwards allows to identify much higher amount of tracks.

It is an automatic process with a periodical schedule (usually once a week).

Read more about Frequent Content Filter (FCF).

When a match is found, the FCFs are automatically edited, entering in the Vericast reports as identified tracks.
